Male D-Sub 9 pin plug for IDC cable with insulation perforation for flat cables (ribbon cable) available in different widths depending on the number of conductors (from 10 to 64 poles). Flat cables are widely used in electronics for data transmission and represent the cheapest and most effective board-to-board connection method.
The assembly type (IDC Insulation-displacement contact) allows a safe assembly of the cable without the need for special tools: with a slight pressure exerted on the back of the connector, the tang of each contact (already in position) penetrates the insulation of the cable flat by coming into direct contact with the internal conductor of the pole.
