Weller WXD2 2-Channel Control Unit

The new WXD2 desoldering station is the new platform that enriches the WX family making it a complete Multifunction platform. This station combines the advantages of the WX series with the new 120W WXDP120 desoldering stylus which with its new XDS nozzles is Weller's best performing desoldering tool.
The new WXD2 station can boast a total power of 200/255 W allowing it to support a 200W stylus or two 120W tools at the same time, always guaranteeing a very fast warm-up time. The easy-to-use touchscreen display is readable from all angles, even in poor lighting conditions thanks to the blue LED backlight. Thanks to the construction in real patented antistatic glass, it is extremely robust and resistant to chemical agents and high temperatures. It integrates a capacitive rotary selector with finger guide and confirmation button and six capacitive buttons for settings. The menu allows you to choose between different languages (German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Mandarin Chinese - additional languages on request)

The new WX series integrates an automatic energy saving system without the need to use Stop & Go supports. Thanks to a sensor integrated in the new WX tools, the station is able to understand when to bring the resistance up to temperature. All this happens automatically and the user will have the possibility to understand the heating status with a visual check of the tool's blue LED ring:

Blue: The stylus has reached temperature
Flashing light: stylus in Standby or warming up
Light off: the stylus is off

The connection of the WX tools to the station takes place digitally, thus offering automatic tool recognition and the reading of operating data stored directly in the stylus. The tools can be replaced quickly, thanks to a locking ring that can be operated with just one hand. Some styli (WXP120) offer improved working precision thanks to the shock absorber integrated in the tip stop tube which guarantees an adequate contact pressure between tip and welding joint

The WX stations are equipped with a multifunction USB port that allows you to configure the working parameters, set a password to lock the unit and quickly update the firmware.
The station can also be used as a workbench controller: the two station channels can be used to communicate with fume extraction systems, preheating plates and PLCs, for connection to digital robots. The data of temperatures, speed, status, etc. are displayed directly on the WX unit display.
