The Vimar 02906 thermostat is suitable for controlling the room temperature by acting on the burner or circulation pump control circuit (heating) or on the air conditioner control circuit (air conditioning), ensuring an ideal temperature situation. The graphic interface, thanks to specific displays, facilitates the management of the system, helping the user to operate while maintaining an energy saving condition. The thermostat is equipped with a GSM communicator for remote control which makes it ideal for installations in second homes.

By-Clima App for Smartphone (Android, iOS, Windows)

By sending and receiving SMS with appropriate coding, the thermostat can be activated, deactivated and interrogated to view the data relating to the environment and can perform various other functions; the interaction with the remote control device takes place through the By-clima application for smartphones which automatically dials the coded SMS.

By means of these functions it is therefore possible:

• Set the operating parameters of the thermostat.
• Send commands.
• Interrogate the thermostat for the current operating status.
• Receive notifications of previously configured and enabled alarms.
• Receive from the thermostat the forwarding of any SMS that have not been recognized as a command SMS.

The command and control SMS are generated by the By-clima App while the voice calls, the reading and therefore the interpretation of the SMS received must be managed manually by the user through the standard functions of their smartphone. More specifically, the functions associated with GSM mode via SMS or voice calls are:

• Thermostat management = setting the operating mode (Off, Antifreeze, Away, Manual, Night reduction).
• Configuration of the thermostat = programming of all the thermoregulation parameters that can also be set locally by the thermostat and configuration of all the functions of the GSM module which, on the other hand, are not programmable locally.
• Request current operating status of the thermostat (for all the various types provided).
• Notification of power failure / restoration alarms (only if configured and associated with users stored in the address book).
• Notification of technical alarms linked to the exceeding of temperature thresholds (only if configured, enabled and associated with users stored in the address book).
• Receipt of SMS forwarded by the thermostat as they are not recognized as compliant with the communication protocol (only if configured and associated with users stored in the address book).

Generally the configuration commands do not include confirmation SMS as is the case for the control commands; therefore, in order to confirm that a parameter has been set, it is necessary to query the thermostat about its status. Otherwise, all the command operations which, for example, change the active thermoregulation mode, will give rise to an SMS notification and confirmation of the operation carried out.

NB In case of simultaneous absence of the GSM network and the power supply network, the thermostat will not be able to try again to send the network absence alarm SMS.
