Weller WR2000ER professional 2-channel soldering and desoldering station

The Weller WR2000ER, also known as the WR 2000 ER and WR2000ER Set, is a professional 2-channel multifunction station designed for soldering, desoldering, and electronics rework. The system is based on the Weller WR2 power supply unit and comes complete with the WP65 soldering iron and DSX120 desoldering iron.

The station features two independent channels with automatic tool recognition and allows you to configure the workbench according to the application. The WR2000ER kit allows you to use the WP65 soldering iron and the DSX120 desoldering iron simultaneously.

The declared power for the system is 250 W nominal with a maximum power of 300 W. The power supply is 230 V and the overall temperature range depends on the connected tool, reaching up to 550 °C.

Technical features

Weller WR2 2-Channel Multifunction Station

The heart of the WR2000ER is the Weller WR2 professional unit. The two independent channels allow for automatic recognition and activation of compatible tools, allowing the station to be configured for different soldering, desoldering, and rework tasks.

The integrated pump allows you to use compatible pneumatic tools directly without having to add a separate vacuum unit to the DSX120 desoldering iron.

Weller WP65 65W included

The WR2000ER kit includes the Weller WP65 professional soldering iron, a 65W, 24V power supply with Power-Response technology. The system is designed to offer rapid thermal response and precise temperature control during electronics work.

The WP65 uses Weller XNT series tips. The WR2000ER configuration comes with a 1.6 x 0.4 mm XNT A screwdriver tip.

Weller DSX120 120W desoldering iron

For desoldering operations the WR2000ER includes the 120W, 24V Weller DSX120. The desoldering iron uses the suction system of the WR2 station and is designed to quickly remove solder from joints and THT components.

The DSX120 reaches operating temperature quickly and is particularly suitable for professional maintenance, repair and rework of electronic circuits.

Simultaneous soldering and desoldering

The WR2000ER configuration allows you to simultaneously connect the WP65 and DSX120 to the two channels of the WR2, making both the soldering and desoldering functions immediately available on the bench.

The WR2 platform also supports various compatible Weller tools for soldering, desoldering, and hot air. Tool configuration must, however, comply with the operating and pneumatic limits set by the station.

Digital temperature control

The WR2000ER offers digital temperature regulation with a claimed accuracy of ±9°C and stability of ±2°C. The overall operating range of the platform reaches from 50 to 550°C depending on the connected tool.

For the DSX120 desoldering iron the indicated operating range is between 100 and 450 °C.

Dimensions and weight

The WR2 unit measures 273 × 235 × 102 mm. The manufacturer's stated weight for the WR2000ER system is approximately 6.7 kg.
