Operative mode
The 8 ports of the TL-SG1008MP support the Power over Ethernet (PoE) standard. PoE ports are capable of auto-detecting and powering IEEE 802.3af (PD) compliant devices. The power is conveyed together with the data in a single cable, so as to expand the network in places where there is no power supply and where you want to place devices such as APs, IP cameras or IP phones.
Overload protection
TL-SG1008MP has the Port priority function which allows the protection of the system in case of overload. If the power consumption of all connected PoE devices is> = 126W, a priority mechanism will operate between the PoE ports, reducing power to the lower priority ports.
