In a world where globality means that infections too can cross populations rapidly, the ability to screen for fever is a key tool in reducing the risk of disease spreading.

The vIRalert 2 fixed temperature monitoring system provides remote measurement of human body temperature (typically the face) with an accuracy of 0.5°C which allows for the detection of small temperature changes induced by a fever.

Most inexpensive thermal imaging cameras can achieve accuracy that is inadequate for detecting fever, however by calibrating a thermal imaging camera in real time against a precise black body calibration source, the vIRalert 2 system can provide an accurate and reliable skin temperature measurement for screening personnel at the point of entry in areas such as airports, train stations, key operating facilities and factories, and other places where infectious diseases can easily spread.

Using simple and intuitive software, this point-of-entry system provides on-screen and automatically audible alarms to alert the operator so that quick actions can be taken to protect premises from the risk of spreading infection.

Main Specifications

• Thermal Imager: Continuously measuring 86 to 113°F / 30 to 45°C, with a 39 x 31° field of view and 80 x 64 resolution provides 5,210 temperature data points per frame, with a rate of 20Hz.
• Blackbody Certified Heat Source - Provides a reliable reference temperature value calibrated at 38°C / 100.4°F for the camera with a large plate size for viewing at longer distances.
• Connection cables - Ethernet and power between camera and laptop (5m / 15ft).
• Flexible Mounts - Camera supplied with wall mount bracket and standard 1/4-20 UNC thread for use with alternative mounting options. Wall-mount lugs on the calibration source allow for easy wall-hook mounting.
• Screening Software - Still or still image showing normal temperature in black and white with abnormally high temperatures in red. On-screen alarm and audio activated if potential fever is detected.
• Calibration: Each system is calibrated at our ISO17025 accredited facility in the UK.

A typical sensing distance of 1 meter offers a field of view of 70 x 55 cm so that checks can be carried out without any contact with the operator.
