The new Arduino Yun rev.2 board like its predecessor is a Linux-based system that allows for advanced network connections and applications. Connecting to the WiFi or wired network is quick and easy thanks to the Yun web interface and the dedicated `` YunFirstConfig '' sketch.

The web interface allows you to manage your security preferences and upload your sketch. Yun 2 uses the Bridge library and thus extends the capabilities of the card using the Linux processor. As always, every element of the platform (hardware, software and documentation) is freely available under an open source license. This means you can learn exactly how it's done and use it as a starting point for your own projects.

Compatibility

The Yun Rev. 2 card allows you to connect to the Internet using the built-in Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. Additionally, the microprocessor capabilities use the computational power of the embedded Linux processor. Using the Yun Web Panel it is also possible to configure all the functions related to the board and remotely upload the sketches.

Status LED

Arduino Yun Rev2 features signaling LEDs:

• ON (green): indicates that the shield is powered correctly
• WLAN (blue): indicates a connection to a wireless network
• WAN (red): indicates connection to Ethernet
• USB (white): indicates system activity and / or if a USB key is installed
