The 754 offers all the features you wished for in the 744 and more! HART communication functionality is included to provide an integrated communication calibrator. This rugged, reliable instrument is ideal for HART and other instrument calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

The 754 brings together in a single, compact and portable device the functions of various instruments, namely the generation, simulation and measurement of pressure, temperature and electrical signals. The new improved graphics screen offers unrivaled performance, as the long life li-ion battery, USB port and new accessories complete the package.

The 754 automates calibration procedures and collects data for documentation purposes. It also helps you meet stringent ISO 9000, FDA, EPA, and OSHA standards.

The 754 is a powerful multifunction calibrator with documentation function that allows software-generated procedures, lists and instructions to be downloaded or data to be uploaded for printing, archiving and analysis. The Model 754 also features an integrated, functional HART® interface for performing nearly all routine tasks typically performed with the aid of an external communicator.

HART features

The 754 has been specifically designed to perform all day-to-day operations that require a separate communicator. In fact, it offers the communication capabilities available in the HART 375 Communicator.

  • No outer boxes or other tools are required for daily HART calibration and maintenance.
  • Provides fast HART dialog mode.
  • It supports the most common modes of HART transmitters with more specific features than any other HART field calibrator.
  • Can be used with multiple master, step mode and multi-drop configurations.
  • Easy adaptation to new HART tools and versions.
  • Query functionality to establish device type, manufacturer, model, tag.
  • Reconfiguration of sensor mapping for dual sensor temperature transmitters.
  • Reading the HART PV function and digital outputs of smart transmitters while measuring an analog mA output.
  • Read and write HART configuration functions for field adjustments of PV setpoints, damping, and other top-level configuration settings.
  • Relabeling of intelligent transmitters by reading and writing to the tag field of the HART software.

The Model 754 supports HART protocol version 5.7 commands. With 2 MB of memory, the 754 supports a significant HART instruction set:

  • Universal commands offer the functions available in all field devices, such as identification of the device manufacturer and type, primary variable (PV), output current and percentage of range.
  • General purpose commands, on the other hand, offer functions common to many but not all field devices, such as detecting multiple variables, setting the damping time or performing a loop test.
  • Specific commands offer functions that are only available in a particular field device, such as adjusting a sensor.

HART operating modes supported

  • Point-to-point operation, the most commonly used mode, allows the Model 754 to be connected to a single HART device in a 4-20mA loop.
  • In Multi-Drop mode, several HART instruments can be linked together. The 754 searches for all instruments, identifies the addresses used and allows you to select the instrument for which calibration or other operations need to be performed.
  • In Burst-Mode, the HART device transmits data sequences without waiting for a poll from the master unit. the 754 is able to deactivate the Burst-Mode in the transmitters, and to reactivate it later.

They cover virtually all pressure measurement applications, including gauges, differential, dual (compound), absolute, and vacuum. Pressure Modules

  • They display pressure readings in any of 10 units that you can specify when configuring the calibrator.
  • Rugged molded urethane cases protect modules from the toughest applications and working conditions.
  • It supports temperature compensation from 0º to 50º C to ensure accurate performance.
  • Certified for NIST traceable calibrations.
  • It is possible to calibrate the modules locally, controlling costs.

Automated Procedures
A family of 29 optional pressure modules gives you pressure measurement and calibration capabilities. Twenty-eight modules are available, with basic accuracy specifications of 0.05%. Ranges start from 0-1 in H20 (0 - .25kPa) up to 0-10,000 psi (0 - 70,000 kPa). Further information on pressure modules is available on their Home Page.

They allow you to quickly set up powerful calibration automations for linear transmitters, DP flow transmitters, and one- and two-point limit switches. Simply select the appropriate measure and/or source functions to complete the procedure template. The 750 Series does the rest by running the test quickly, calculating errors, displaying the final results and highlighting out-of-tolerance points.

Custom units

Allows you to map one unit to another, such as mV to ºC or ºF. Allows you to use the Fluke 750 Series with millivolt output accessories such as the Fluke 80T-IR temperature probe and to document tests using unsupported units such as parts per million or revolutions per minute.

User-entered values

Allows technicians to record calibration results generated and/or measured by other devices such as panel meters or read-only devices.

Limit switch calibration

The procedures perform quick and automatic calibration of one- or two-point limit switches for voltage, current, temperature, and pressure measurements.

Instrumental calibration of differential pressure flow

The square root function is routinely used to directly calibrate DP flow instruments.
