This adapter cable allows you to connect a source with DisplayPort interface to a Monitor with HDMI interface.

Audio support
The Audio signal is transferred through the HDMI interface only if the DisplayPort graphics card of the Computer or Notebook supports Audio signals. Many graphics cards integrated in Notebooks such as Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset (for example Dell E6400) and other versions for Desktop Computers DO NOT support Audio signals from the DisplayPort port, while it is supported on HDMI interfaces installed on Audio controllers (Intel High Definition Audio HDMI Service ). With other graphics cards (eg nVidia) in Dell Notebook E6500 Audio is supported.
